Marine Capt. Michael A. Webb has died of an apparent suicide in the brig at Quantico while awaiting court martial, a base public affairs officer said Tuesday.
The 46-year-old was assigned to headquarters and service battalion at Quantico, said 2nd Lt. Brian "Scott" Villiard.
An investigation is under way, but information on when Webb was found and on what charges he was being held was unavailable Tuesday night.
