DALE CITY, Va. -- The woman slain with her 8-year-old son Monday was the sister of an assassinated Bulgarian mafia leader. And the woman charged in the double murder is the current wife of her ex-husband, a prosecutor said Wednesday.

Slavka P. Naydenova, 41, met her current husband at the funeral for her brother -- Bulgarian tycoon Iliya Pavlov, who was shot and killed in his office in 2003. It is unclear who her husband is or where he lives.

But Natalia Wilson -- the woman arrested in the deaths of Naydenova and her young son, Paul Wilson -- is married to the boy's father, said Prince William County Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert.

Though the investigation is ongoing, the killings don't appear to be related to the Bulgarian mafia.
