Holy Trinity offers free speaker event

On Feb. 18 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Steve Clifford will discuss "The Eucharist and the Conversion of Souls" in Saint Patrick Hall.

Born and raised in Utah, Clifford was a fifth generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). He entered the Catholic Church the same year he retired from the U.S. Army and is now a candidate for the Permanent Diaconate in the Arlington Diocese.

The event starts at 7:45 p.m. A reception with refreshments will follow. This event is free and open to the public.

Bull Run Mountains Conservancy weather advisory

According to Bull Run Mountains Conservancy, "We've had about three feet of snow at BRMC. The road may not be completely plowed, and the parking definitely hasn't been.

It's quite beautiful, but we don't suggest you come out and try to hike."

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast"

Popular with Gainesville and Haymarket residents, productions at the Pied Piper Theater hone talent and confidence while allowing children, teens and parents to get involved in theater.

Auditions for PPT's spring production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Center for the Arts at the Candy Factory, 9419 Battle St., Manassas. Actors, singers and dancers ages 8-18 are needed for this Broadway musical which will be performed on Saturdays and Sundays, May 8-16.

Auditions are by appointment only by calling 703-330-2787.
