Manassas, Va. - Got an extra bedroom not in use?
There is an urgent need by two foreign student exchange firms to find housing for incoming students in the area.
LEC needs a host family for six young French students in the Manassas/Bristow/Gainesville area for three weeks, Aug. 5 to 25.
LEC is an organization based in Paris that promotes international friendship via family homestays. Host families provide room board, friendship and receive a weekly stipend.
The French students, three girls, 16, 17 and 18, and two boys 14 and 17 already have their plane tickets and are due to arrive in only a week.
They all speak English, are fully insured and have their own spending money. If host families are not found soon, they will not be able to come and fulfill their dream which is to live the "American Way." Families without children are welcome
For more information contact Louise Lamy, LEC-coordinator, at 703 371-8582.
Also, the International Student Exchange is seeking host families for boys and girls (ages 15-18) for the entire school year.
All students are well-screened, speak English and have their own insurance and come with their own spending money.
Host families provide room, board and guidance and get the satisfaction of watching a child grow academi-cally and culturally.
Area representatives are available to assist host families, supervise the students and plan group activities.
For more information call Louise Hackman at 540 286-2529.
