DALE CITY, Va. -- Apparently, these men wanted a beer.
An employee at the CVS Pharmacy at 4338 Dale Boulevard in Dale City said three men walked into the store about 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, picked up multiple cases of beer and then tried to leave.
When the clerk told the men state law prohibits suds from being sold after midnight, one of them pulled a handgun while the other two men ran out of the store with the beer, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
During the robbery, the thirsty trio was captured on videotape as they were entering the store, and police distributed photos taken from that video Wednesday looking for information about the men.
The first is described as black, between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, black hair, wearing a white t-shirt, black coat, blue jeans, black shoes and a beanie hat.
The second was described as black, between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, a short black afro, wearing a white undershirt, black coat, blue jeans and black shoes.
