Prince William County, Va. -- Man arrested for concealed weapon
A Gainesville man was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon Feb. 20, according to Prince William County police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
Brandon David Edwards, 25, of 6703 Lucas Loop in Gainesville, was arrested for possession of brass knuckles. The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. in the 7200 block of New Market in Manassas.
A patrol officer responded to investigate a drug activity call. When the officer arrived, he found a parked vehicle with five occupants.
During the investigation, the officer discovered that Edwards was armed with brass knuckles. Edwards was released on a summons. The court date was not available.
Man arrested on drug charges near Manassas
A man was arrested on several drug charges Feb. 21 in the Manassas area, according to Prince William County police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
Christopher Allan Sackett, 26, was arrested for possession of a schedule II substance (oxycodone), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and intoxication in public, about 4:30 a.m. in the 10700 block of Primrose Court.
Police responded to investigate an emergency call. Officers arrived to find a man and a woman involved in an altercation.
During the investigation, drugs were found in the vehicle and police arrested Sackett. Sackett was held on $3,000 bond and has a court date of April 2.
