Police continue search for Dumfries woman
Prince William County police on Monday were still searching for a 40-year-old Dumfries woman who disappeared from her home on Feb. 27.
Licia Ann Brown of Dunes Court was last seen wearing a black parka, black scarf, dark colored pants and brown boots with fur trim. She is white, wears prescription glasses with gold trim, has green eyes and light brown, shoulder-length hair.
Police were notified of her disappearance on Saturday.
Brown has an illness and needs her medications.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at 703-792-6500.
More than 7,000 ticketed on interstates
Troopers handed out more than 7,000 tickets during this weekend's aggressive driving crackdown on interstates 95 and 81.
According to state police, troopers stopped 1,475 drivers for speeding, 505 for reckless driving, 14 for impaired driving and 174 for seat belt violations on Interstate 95 Saturday and Sun-day.
On Interstate 81, 2,061 drivers got tickets for speeding, 212 for reckless driving, six for impaired driving and 136 for no seat belts.
During the two-day initiative, dubbed Operation Air, Land and Speed, there were no fatal traffic crashes reported on either interstate.
Manassas police arrest fugitive of week
A man who appeared in Sunday's News & Messenger as the Manassas Police Depart-ment's fugitive of the week was arrested in Prince William County the day his mugshot was published in the paper.
John David White Jr., 19, was wanted on grand larceny and failure to appear in court charges related to a burglary in the city last April.
Details of his arrest were unavailable, but city police say White was picked up Sunday in the county.
Man charged with indecent liberties
Roger Henry Crouell, 38, of the 10100 block of Parkington Court in the Manassas area was ar-rested Saturday and charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.
Crouell is accused of exposing himself to a 14-year-old Manassas girl and offering the girl money in exchange for sexual favors three times between January and March, Prince William County police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez said.
Crouell is being held without bond and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Man charged with malicious wounding
A Manassas area man was charged with malicious wounding after police responded to reports of a fight-in-progress around 9 p.m. March 2 in the 7400 block of Willoughby Lane near Manas-sas.
Jarrod Armel Jordan, 29, of 7401 Willoughby Lane, Apt. 204, is accused of biting another man during the fight. The man was treated at a local hospital for bite wounds to the face and arm, Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez said.
Jordan was also treated at a local hospital for cuts to his hand.
He was held on a $2,000 bond. His court date was not available.
Woman charged with assaulting relative
A Manassas area woman was charged with malicious wounding after police responded to a do-mestic call in the 8400 block of Leland Road in Manassas around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Kaitlyn Elizabeth Harvey, 18, of the 8400 block of Leland Road is accused of assaulting a 45-year-old relative during an argument. The woman was treated at a local hospital for facial injuries, Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez said.
Harvey was held without bond and will have a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Inmate hospitalized after fight at jail
Police responded to the Prince William-Manassas regional jail about 4:40 p.m. Friday to investi-gate a fight between two male inmates, Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez said.
One of the inmates, a 33-year-old man, was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening inju-ries.
Car drives into pool building
Prince William County police investigated a hit and run at 8300 Community Drive in the Manas-sas area about 1:54 a.m. Sunday.
The driver of a 2002 Chevy van drove into an apartment complex's pool building and then left.
The pool was closed and no one was in the building at the time of the crash.
