Man sought in assault case
A Dale City man is wanted in connection with a malicious wounding case that sent a woman to the hospital Thursday.
Police were called at 3:21 a.m. Thursday for a report of an assault of a 32-year-old woman in the 3400 block of Castle Hill Road in Dale City.
The woman suffered severe facial injuries during the assault, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
Police obtained felony warrants for 50-year-old Robert Wayne Fields, of 3479 Castle Hill Road, where the assault took place, charging him with malicious wounding.
Fields is described as black, 6 feet tall, 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Gas station robbed by two men
Two men entered a gas station in the 13200 block of Trowbridge Court off Prince William Parkway at 9 p.m. Feb. 26 and demanded money.
One of the men jumped over an ice cream machine and landed behind the counter, while the other stood in front of the counter and pointed a gun at the clerk, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
The two men left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both were described as black, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing ski masks and dark-colored clothes.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Woman's purse taken as she walked home
A woman who was walking into her apartment building said a man approached her and demanded she give up her purse at 2:26 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 14300 block of Westway Lane in Dale City.
The man grabbed the purse, which contained personal documents, and ran away, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
The man was described as black, between 16 and 20 years old, 6 feet tall, with a thin build and wearing a dark blue shirt. His face was covered with a bandanna.
