DALE CITY, Va. -- Police arrested two men in connection to the robbery of a Dale City pharmacy earlier this month in which the suspects pulled a gun and walked out with a few cases of beer.
During the investigation, the men were identified as Maurice A. Williams, 29; Payton A. Smith, 23; and Carvell J. Williams, 24, said Prince William County police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
Maurice Williams turned himself into police two days after the robbery and was later released on bond. On Monday, police took Smith into custody at an apartment complex off of Islip Loop in Dumfries, Hernandez said. He was held without bond.
Police are still searching for Carvell Williams and are encouraging anyone with information about his whereabouts to call police.
The robbery happened at 1:50 a.m. March 2, when police said the men walked into the CVS at 4338 Dale Blvd. and picked up some cases of beer. When the clerk told the men that the store did not sell beer after midnight, one of the men brandished a gun and the other two ran from the store with beer in hand.
The incident was caught on surveillance video, which investigators used to identify the men.
Maurice Williams, who lives at 15938 Donald Curtis Drive, is charged with attempted armed robbery. Smith, of 3420 Dry Powder Circle, Apt. 201 in Dumfries, is charged with armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Both men are scheduled to appear in court April 21.
Carvell Williams, of 202 Buckingham Lane, Apt. 201 in Stafford, is wanted for armed robbery and for use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
