>> Today, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Glenkirk Elementary School in Gainesville will hold a World Cultures Festival, celebrating all of the cultures and heritages represented at the school. There will be food, music, dancing and cultural displays.
>> Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.: Battlefield High School, at 15000 Graduation Drive in Haymarket, is holding the BHS Spring Carnival. There will be games, rides, food and entertainment by live bands. Unlimited ride passes are $5, and tickets for food and games are 50 cents each.
>> Saturday, 4 to 7 p.m.: Alvey Elementary School, 5300 Waverly Farm Drive in Haymarket, is holding a Spring Fun Fair. The event will include face-painting, crafts, a dunk tank, a silent auction and more. It will be held rain or shine.
>> Monday, 6:30 to 9 p.m.: Dominion Woman's Club is holding its monthly meeting at Dominion Country Club, 15200 Arnold Palmer Drive in Haymarket. The club is open to women over the age of 18 who are interested in volunteering. This month's meeting will include a dinner to recognize new officers and members. Cost is $20.
