A man told police he was assaulted and robbed in Manassas early Friday morning after meeting up with two women he encountered on the Internet.
The victim said he met the two women near the Shell gas station at 10155 Hastings Road at 2:25 a.m., Manassas police Sgt. Eddie Rivera said.
The women got into his car and told him to drive to a nearby neighborhood cul-de-sac. Once there, a man appeared, assaulted him and stole an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
The victim suffered a head injury in the attack. Officers spoke with the victim at Prince William Hospital, authorities said.
Both of the women involved were white. One had tattoos on her chest and wore a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, Rivera said.
The second wore a pink or red shirt with blue jeans, according to police.
Officers are still investigating the case.
