Gun stolen from home

A handgun, valued at $545, was stolen from a home on the 12600 block of Vint Hill Road, Bristow, between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Police did not find any signs of forced entry at the home. 

Attempted break-in at home

Somebody tore a screen attached to a side window and tried to break into a home on the 16600 block of Harwood Oaks Court, Woodbridge, between 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

But the burglar did not get into the home.  Perok said officers did not find signs of entry on the window itself.  Nothing was taken.

Attempted break-in at home

Somebody tried to break in to a home on the 13800 block of Gullane Drive, Woodbridge, between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Although police found no signs of entry at the home, they said a chain lock on the home’s front door prevented the would-be burglar from getting in.

Nothing was stolen.

Police investigate damaged gate

Somebody caused $300 in damages to a backyard gate at a home on the 8400 block of Saddle Court, Manassas, between midnight and 3:30 p.m. Monday, Manassas police Sgt. Eddie Rivera said.

Rivera did not know exactly how the gate was damaged.

Officers are still investigating the case.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Solvers at 703-330-0330. Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court and may receive a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in an arrest.
