The Office of Personnel Management announced federal government employees may use unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework Wednesday. Workers need to tell supervisors of their plans.
The National Weather Service says the region will see anywhere from half an inch to three inches of snow. Prince William County is expected to get less than half an inch. What will start as rain and snow, NWS says will be all snow sometime after 4 p.m.

VDOT spokeswoman Joan Morris said ramps, bridges and major roadways were pretreated yesterday. Salt trucks are mobilized, ready to hit the roads as soon as snow begins to fall.
According to Virginia Railway Express' website, trains will be running on a normal schedule this afternoon. Officials advise riders to be careful on platforms, which may be slippery. If changes are needed to Thursday morning's schedule, VRE will make the announcement by 4:30 a.m.
