A Manassas man faces various charges Thursday after police said he refused to pay a woman with whom he had sex, then claimed she robbed him.
Shortly after noon, police said Baljit Ahluwalia flagged down an officer at the intersection of Hood and Taney roads and said a woman broke into his home while he was sleeping, Manassas police Sgt. Eddie Rivera said.
Ahluwalia said the woman threatened him with a knife and demanded money, police said. Officers said Ahluwalia appeared intoxicated.
A woman, Brandi Williams, was found at Ahluwalia’s home, according to police.
Through an investigation, police determined Williams did not rob Ahluwalia, but that Ahluwalia called Williams to his home for sex.
“Williams said that Ahluwalia refused to pay for her services, once they were done,” Rivera said of the sexual encounter.
Ahluwalia, 55, of 9252 Hood Road, was charged with solicitation of prostitution, false summoning of law enforcement and public intoxication, Rivera said.
He was held in lieu of a $3,000 bond.
Williams, 21, of 9602 Waterford Drive, was cited for prostitution and released on her own recognizance, Rivera said.
Ahluwalia and Williams have a court date of April 3.
Police did not provide a mugshot of Williams.
