A Woodbridge man faces assault charges after authorities said he kicked a police officer on Feb. 2.
Police charged Wilfredo Bermudez with kicking an officer who responded to an argument involving several intoxicated people in the 5900 block of North Kings Highway, Huntington, Fairfax County police said.
The officer was not seriously hurt, police said.
Bermudez, 19, was charged with assault on a police officer and public drunkeness, police said.
His court date and bond information were not available.
Bermudez was reportedly too combative with authorities to have a mugshot taken, according to Fairfax County police spokesman Officer Bud Walker.
