Letter to the editor: 'Tebow Bill' is a winner

I read the article in your newspaper about the “Tebow Bill.” This bill states that home-schooled children are allowed to participate in public school varsity sports.

I agree with this bill because I think that students that are home-schooled should have the privilege to participate in public sports. I know of home-schooled students that would like to join public sports because they believe that public sports have better competition.

I understand that some people may disagree because they think that only public school students should participate in public school varsity sports, but home-schooled students will have benefits from playing in public sports. One benefit is that they will have somewhere to socialize. Since they are taught at home, not many home-schooled students get to socialize with other kids.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
