Three teenagers were charged Monday in connection with a Feb. 3 armed robbery that was set up over Facebook, police said.
Officers said Angel Agustin Castellon and Michael Morsit Brunson were part of a group of teens who attacked and robbed two Woodbridge residents at gunpoint, according to Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
The victims, a 15-year-old boy and 42-year-old man, told police they were walking to a home on the 14700 block of Barksdale Street to sell three pairs of shoes, valued at $300, to man they did not know who they met on Facebook.
The group containing Castellon and Brunson surrounded the victims when they arrived, according to police.
A 15-year-old Woodbridge boy in the group displayed a handgun and demanded the shoes from the victims, Perok said.
The mob stole the shoes, as well as an undisclosed amount of money, and then ran away, officials said.
The victims suffered minor injuries.
Castellon, 19, of 15021 Bridgeport Drive, Montclair, was charged with robbery, Perok said.
Brunson, 18, of 144001 Fontaine Court, Dale City, was charged with robbery and assault by mob, Perok said.
The teens were held without bond.
The 15-year-old gunman, whose name was not released, was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and assault by mob, Perok said.
He was held at the juvenile detention center.
