Police say a 16-year-old boy led officers on a chase from Prince William County into Manassas Friday night, where he lost control and hit a mailbox, two parked cars and a garage door.

It started about 3:10 a.m., when officers tried to stop a motorist in the area of Godwin Drive and Sudley Road. But the driver kept going, ignoring lights and sirens, said Prince William County  police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

Once in Manassas, the driver lost control of the car and hit a mailbox and a parked car while in the area of Haag Street and Oakenshaw Drive in Manassas, officials said.  The car rolled and struck another parked vehicle and a garage door, Perok said.

Nobody was hurt.

The teen was charged with driving under the influence of prescription drugs, felony eluding police and a curfew violation, Perok said.

He was released on his own recognizance to a guardian, and has a court date of April 6.

Police did not identify the boy because he is a juvenile.
