An Independent Hill-area man wanted in connection with thefts of copper and brass wire from a mid-county home turned himself in to police on Saturday.
Police said Robert Eugene Kiger and Lee Albert Coppage stole copper and brass wire valued at $300 from a shed in the 7500 block of Hoadly Road between 5 p.m. Feb. 5 and 11 a.m. Feb. 6.
Officers also connected the duo to an earlier theft of copper wire and lead, valued at $800, from the same home after finding the men sold the goods to a local scrap yard, according to Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
Kiger turned himself in to police on Feb. 18 and was arrested without incident.
Kiger, 25, of 7600 Tayloe Drive #98, was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny and two counts of larceny with intent to sell, Perok said.
He was held without bond.
Coppage was charged Feb. 7 with the same counts as Kiger, Perok said.
Both men have a court date of March 8.
