Police charged a Montclair-area man Thursday with robbing a Manassas store Tuesday night.

According to police, James Ronald Bradford, Jr., entered the Walgreens at 9271 Sudley Road wearing a surgical mask he had just purchased from a neighboring CVS pharmacy.

A Walgreens Pharmacy cashier told police a masked man handed her a note demanding pills, which she gave to him, police said.

The robber then left in a black or dark-colored Toyota Camry or Avalon, Rivera said.

Rosi Guyton, with the Manassas police investigative services division, said surveillance video from the CVS captured the suspect buying the mask.

Bradford, 38, of 4002 Melting Snow Place, was charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and entering with intent to commit a robbery, Guyton said.

His court date and bond information were not available.
