Police are looking for a man who reportedly tried to take items from her at a Lake Ridge gas station, officers said.
The victim, a 39-year-old woman of Woodbridge, told police that she was at the Sunoco, 3220 Old Bridge Road, at 10:49 p.m. when a man she did not know came up to her and tried to stole items that she was loading into her car, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
The man got away after the woman managed to keep holding her belongings.
Officers described the man as black, between 20 to 30-years-old, 5-foot-2-inches tall, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, Perok said.
He wore a black shirt, black jeans and a black bandana during the incident.
Nobody was hurt, and nothing was taken.
