A Manassas woman faces drug charges after a crash in Fauquier County on Jan. 16, deputies said.
A 1989 Saab sedan driven by a Broad Run man was pulling out from a home in the 5200 block of Old Alexandria Turnpike, near its intersection with Va. 29, at 3:55 p.m. when a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Culpeper resident Richard Lee Herrman, Jr. reportedly hit the Saab in its back passenger area, according to Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. James Hartman.
The Saab apparently spun around and came to rest in the crossover of the intersection, officials said.
Deputies reportedly found drugs on a passenger -- identified as Brandi Renee Brown -- in the Saab while investigating the incident.
Brown, 27, of Buckeye Court, was charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic and possession of paraphernalia, Hartman said.
She was held without bond due to drug-related charges in Prince William County, deputies said.
Brown reportedly told deputies that she had neck and back pain and was transported to an area hospital, Hartman said.
Brown has a court date of Jan. 24.
