It may feel more like spring than January as you head out for work and school Friday morning.

Temperatures are expected to climb overnight, reaching a high of 60 Friday morning. But with the mild weather comes colliding warm and cold fronts, rain and a chance of thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service says thunderstorms will make their way into Northern Virginia, particularly in areas near Interstate 95, after 5 a.m. and stick around until around 10 a.m. The rest of the day will be rainy.

Winds will start gusting later in the day, with temperatures taking a dramatic tumble after 5 p.m. to a low of 33 degrees overnight.

The weekend looks to be pleasant, though, with a high of 55 and sunny skies forecast for Saturday, and temperatures near 50 on Sunday.
