A Manassas man accused of a carjacking turned himself in Thursday, police said.
The victim, a 28-year-old Woodbridge man, told police that Eddrick Dandrea Fitzgerald, a man he knew, came in contact with him in the parking lot of the Walmart, 14000 Worth Ave., Woodbridge, at noon on Jan. 18, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
Fitzgerald reportedly followed the victim to his home, on the 4700 block of South Park Court, Dale City area, and got into an argument with him, police said.
Fitzgerald apparently threatened the victim after he didn’t let him use his car, Perok said.
The victim then gave his car keys to Fitzgerald, causing the man to drive away, police said.
Fitzgerald, 30, of 9633 Grant Ave., was charged with carjacking, Perok said.
Police did not have his court date or bond information available.
