A Dale City man faces burglary charges after police accused him of forcing his way into a Triangle home early Saturday morning.
The victims, a 26-year-old Triangle woman, and a 25-year-old Quantico man, told police that Kevin Devon Kelly, a man they knew, knocked on the woman’s home located on the 18200 block of Graham Court and, while holding a bat, entered the home at 2:50 a.m., Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
Kelly apparently argued and got into a struggle with the victims, causing the male victim to run out of the home and get in his car, which was parked outside, police said.
Kelly reportedly followed the victim outside, and used the bat to shatter the victim’s rear window and windshield on his car, Perok said.
The victim got away and called police.
Kelly, 36, of 14417 Brooke Drive, was found shortly thereafter and was charged with burglary with intent to commit assault and destruction of property, Perok said.
He was held without bond, and has a court date of March 23.
Nobody was hurt.
