Police investigate broken car windshield in Manassas

Somebody broke the windshield to a car parked on the 9200 block of Byrd Drive, Manassas, between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, causing $350 in damages, Manassas police Sgt. Eddie Rivera said.

Police are investigating the vandalism.  They ask that anyone with information call Crime Solvers at 703-330-0330. Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court and may receive a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in an arrest.

Tools stolen from Bealeton business

A cut-saw, laser and drill, valued at $2,700, were stolen from Murphy Concrete, 10210 Marsh Road, Bealeton, on Wednesday, Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. James Hartman said.

Deputies are still investigating the case.

Stereo, speakers stolen from Morrisville car

A Pioneer car radio and Sony speakers, valued at $576, were stolen from a car parked on the 12600 block of Shipps Store Road, Morrisville, on Jan. 23, Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. James Hartman said.

Deputies are still investigating the case.

Attempted break-in at Woodbridge home

Somebody tried to force open a rear window and get in through an unlocked side door at a home on the 1500 block of Aiden Drive, Woodbridge, on Saturday, police said.

The burglar apparently tried to get in the home, but an audible alarm caused the person to get away, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Officers believe the burglar did not try to get in through the broken window due to its location and side, police said.

Nothing was stolen.

Money stolen from Casanova home

A total of $2,001 in money was stolen from a home on the 9100 block of Rogues Road, Casanova, on Jan. 23, Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. James Hartman said.

Deputies are still investigating the case.

Cooking oil stolen from Warrenton restaurant

Used cooking oil, valued at $568, was stolen from a restaurant on the 4100 block of Winchester Road, Warrenton, on Wednesday, Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. James Hartman said.

Deputies said the oil was taken from a locked container behind the restaurant, police said.

Officials did not release the name of the restaurant.

Copper wire stolen from vacant Dale City home

Copper wire, valued at $85, was stolen from a vacant home on the 4600 block of Kerrydale Place, Dale City, between Jan. 21 and 6 a.m. Jan. 28, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Police believe the burglar forced open a rear basement window to get in.

Windows broken at Dale City church

Somebody tried to get into the New Life Church, 14015 Minnieville Road, Dale City, at 11:36 p.m. Sunday by breaking out a window, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

A passerby in the area, according to police, heard glass breaking from the direction of the church.

Officers did not believe anybody got into the building, and nothing was stolen.


Laptops stolen from Dale City home

Two laptops and a computer case, valued at $1,000, were stolen from a home on the 4300 block of Glendale Road, Dale City, between 5 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Police believe the burglar got into the home by breaking out a rear sliding glass door.

 

Tools stolen from shed at Manassas Park home

A nail gun, weed eater, chainsaw and a hedge trimmer, valued at $539, was stolen sometime before Sunday morning from a shed behind a home on the 100 block of Evans Street, Manassas Park, officers said.

The victim told police that they haven’t been in the shed for a while, but found the door ajar, and the items missing, at 9:09 a.m., according to Manassas Park police spokeswoman Karen Barton.

Cigarettes stolen from Dumfries store

A case of cigarettes, valued at $3,000, were stolen from the Tobacco Discounters, 18079 Triangle Shopping Plaza, Dumfries, at 3:01 a.m., Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Police found out about the burglary after arriving at the store for a security alarm.

They found a rear window broken out at the store, Perok said.
