As ugly as the Republican primaries have been, the rise of Mitt Romney has provided a great public service in dramatically illustrating that the tax system in the U.S. (and Virginia) is unfair and slanted to benefit the wealthy.
It is time to conserve contributions and donations to make room for our next commander-in-chief. Let’s pool our support for Gov. Mitt Romney.
What the mentally disabled need are dedicated state and federal funding streams for hospital beds, more low-income housing, more reimbursement to private providers, more state oversight of private providers, and heavy fines when there are violations.

The community needs to speak up on behalf of public schools. Our elected officials at both the local and state levels need to hear that you support public schools, public school employees, and public school students.
Lt. Governor Bill Bolling recently cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate for legislation that prohibits Virginia from entering into public projects that involve Project Labor Agreements. Bolling’s action is disgraceful on several counts.

If HOV exemptions are to be given, they should be equitable and truly need-based.
