The Potomac Nationals’ lineup looks a little different right now.
But even with the new names on the Potomac roster, the Nationals keep winning.
The Nationals scored nine fourth inning runs to help themselves to a 17-3 win over the Kinston Indians on Monday night.
Potomac received two home runs from Marvin Lowrance and one from Trevor Lawhorn, Brian Finegan and Michael Martinez.
Martinez and Lowrance both had three hits and Martinez recorded his 10th stolen base on the year. Lowrance finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and five RBI.
Matt Rogelstad was 2-for-5 with a double, run scored and an RBI.
Potomac scored four first inning runs, one in the second and three in the third before their fourth inning outburst.
Aaron Seuss and Dan Lyons had their first at-bats this year in a Potomac uniform. Both were promoted from Low-A Hagerstown where Lyons was hitting .285 with five home runs and 38 RBI. Seuss had 10 home runs, 49 RBI and hit .304 for the Suns.
Another addition is Andrew Lefave, who was sent down from Double-A Harrisburg.
Lefave started Monday’s game as the designated hitter. He scored two runs and walked twice.
Those the additions are replacing have earned well-deserved promotions to Harrisburg. Carolina/California League All-Star game MVP Edgardo Baez went up as did Leonard Davis, who hit .335 with 14 home runs and a .610 slugging percentage.
First baseman Bill Rhinehart joins Baez and Davis in Harrisburg. He hit .320 with two home runs and four RBI in only seven games with Potomac.
Nationals relief pitcher Joe Norrito was the winning pitcher on Monday night and is now 6-1.
He pitched three and two-thirds innings, gave up three hits and an unearned run and had two strikeouts.
