After losing 12-6 to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on Saturday night, the Potomac Nationals fell 6-1 to the Kin-ston Indians on Sunday.
Dee Brown gave Potomac a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning by blasting his fifth home run this year.
But the Indians scored two runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Indians pitchers limited Potomac to only four hits. Brown had two and Leonard Davis and Francisco Plasencia had the others.
Nationals designated hitter Michael Martinez recorded a stolen base despite going hitless in three attempts.
In the fourth, a two-run double by Jason Denham gave Kinston a 2-1 lead.
John Drennen scored in the fifth on Jerad Head’s triple and Head scored when Nicholas Weglarz grounded out to first base.
Denham doubled home Niuman Romero in the sixth and Cristo Arnal singled to bring home Denham.
Potomac starting pitcher Jeff Mandel was charged with five of Kinston’s runs. He gave up six hits, walked two and struck out five in five and third innings and was the losing pitcher. His record is now 2-1.
Potomac’s Joe Norrito was charged with a run on two hits and recorded a strikeout in two-thirds of an in-ning.
Martin Beno tossed the final two innings for Potomac. He walked one batter and struck out two.
