Hylton won its fourth straight Cardinal District girls' soccer game in impressive fashion, scoring eight times and shutting Potomac out, 8-0.
Vianka Membreno scored three goals while Civanni Moss added two scores to go with two assists. Breiana White recorded three assists as well as a goal.
Caitlin Thomas and Morgan Mauck also each scored.
Jordan Mauck, Kelly Bowen and Torii Johnson all recorded assists.
Goalkeeper Dani Nonaka made two saves on the way to her second consecutive shutout for the Bulldogs (6-2, 4-0), her fourth of the year.
• CHRIST CHAPEL ACADEMY 4, QUANTICO 0: Stephanie Hamilton led the Lions (8-2) with three goals and an assist and keeper Anni Dibert made nine saves. Sierra Darville also scored for CCA.
• WOODBRIDGE 6, FREEDOM 2: Enajah Winbush and Alyssa Hester recorded both of Freedom's goals.
BOYS SOCCER
• WOODBRIDGE 1, FREEDOM 0: Hennock Mesfin scored the lone goal for Woodbridge (6-1-2, 3-0-1).
Vikings goalkeeper Matt Wilson had three saves.
BASEBALL
• WOODBRIDGE 9, STONEWALL JACKSON 5: Woodbridge freshman Tyler Thomas hit his first career home run to help the Vikings (10-3) win on Monday.
Winning pitcher Tyler Stout earned his first victory.
Woodbridge's Mike Lott went 3 for 3 with 4 RBI, a double and triple and Kyle Toomey went 3 for 4 with an RBI.
Kevin Tatum was 2 for 4 with a double and run scored for Woodbridge and Josh Robinson was 2 for 3 with two runs scored.
• POTOMAC 13, HYLTON 4: Tyler Vieira went seven innings and struck out eight and walked one in improving to 4-1 on the season for the Panthers (10-5, 4-1).
Ryan Moriarty went 2 for 4 with three RBI and a two-run homer, while Matt Jack went 2 for 5 with two RBI and Jonathan Amos went 2 for 4.
SOFTBALL
• OSBOURN PARK 5, OSBOURN 0: Amanda Potter led off the game with a home run in the Yellow Jackets' Group AAA Cedar Run District win Monday.
Lauren Stewart went 2 for 3 with an RBI, while Becca Yanci, Brittany Guepe, Stephanie Kestermann, Erica Field, Kelsey Dees and Michelle Menefee added hits for Osbourn Park (9-6 overall, 5-4 in the district).
Kestermann improved her record to 9-4 by throwing a complete-game three hitter with four strikeouts.
For Osbourn (8-5, 4-5), Katie Brennan went 2 for 3 and Ashley Boteler added a hit.
Boteler took the loss for the Eagles, allowing eight hits. She struck out five in pitching a complete game.
• WOODBRIDGE 19, POTOMAC 4: Jenna Hummel went 4 for 6 with two doubles and four RBI to help the Vikings defeat the Panthers (0-11, 0-4 Cardinal).
Woodbridge's Lindsey Slover pitched a complete game, striking out four and had three doubles at the plate. All nine starters for the Vikings (5-5, 3-0) recorded at least one hit each.
Potomac's Christine Oliver was 3 for 4 with a triple and an RBI.
Her teammates Jacey Mann and Victoria Lopez had two hits and Lopez had a double and an RBI.
BOYS TENNIS
• SETON 4, WAKEFIELD 3: The Conquistadors improved to 5-1 Monday.
Michael and Peter Salomon won at No. 1 and 2 singles 8-0 and 8-1.
In doubles, Michael Salomon and Frank Spicer won at No. 1, 8-5, while Peter Salomon and James Bartolozzi won at No. 2, 8-2.
On Saturday, Seton defeated Notre Dame, 8-0.
In singles 1 through 5, Peter Salomon won 8-0 followed by Bartolozzi, who won 8-2, Frank Spicer, who won 8-1, John Franke, who won 8-4, and Tim Vander Woude, who won 8-1.
In No. 1 doubles, Patrick Rowzie and Peter Salomon won 8-2, Spicer and Bartolozzi won at No. 2 doubles, 8-3 and Vander Woude and Franke won at No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
• WOODBRIDGE 8, FOREST PARK 1: The Vikings ran their records to 5-1 overall and 4-1 against Cardinal District foes with the win.
Woodbridge swept singles play, led by No. 1 Brandon Larsen's 6-1, 6-0 win. Greg Hawrysko prevailed when the Bruins' No. 2 forfeited due to injury in the tie-breaking third game. The score of the match was 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 2-2 at the time of the injury.
Ingu Lee won easily, 6-0, 6-0 in the third game while No. 4 Alex Jimenez earned a win, 2-6, 6-4, 6-0. Eric Obang added the fifth victory, 6-2, 6-0 and Robbie Hurlbrink capped the singles round with a 6-0, 6-3 win.
In doubles play, Larsen and Hawrysko combined for a 10-2 win and Lee and Jimenez were victorious, 10-5.
Forest Park earned its lone win as Ben Bañano and Brian Carr recorded a 10-5 decision.
GIRLS TENNIS
• HYLTON 6, FREEDOM 3: The Bulldogs won at No. 1 singles (Akiba Fitzgerald, 6-2, 6-0), No. 2 singles (Suzana Benjamin, 6-4, 6-1), No. 4 singles (Lorraine Feury, 6-2, a forfeit), No. 1 doubles (Fitzgerald and Diane Molina, 10-4), No 2 doubles (Benjamin and Feury, 10-2) and No. 3 doubles (Marriam Nasserjah and Christina Panta, 10-1).
For Freedom, Cindy Gomez won at No. 3 singles (7-5, 6-3), Kelly Chavez won at No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-2) and Michelle Armstead won at No. 6 singles (6-3, 6-3).
GIRLS LACROSSE
• FOREST PARK 17, GAR-FIELD 9: Colleen Childress had three goals and Grace Murphy had three goals and two assists to pace the Bruins.
Tessa Davis and Michal Barnett added two goals and one assist, while Corinne Mullins, Alex Wade and Carli Sichler each had two goals. Leighanne Tekesky had one goal as Forest Park improved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the Cardinal District.
For Gar-Field (5-3), Megan Glaub had one goal, Sage Clark had two goals, Chelsie Hendrickson had two goals and one assist, Kristi Arbogast had three goals (to give her 30 for the season), Kim Walton had one goal and Saaleha Faruk had one assist.
BOYS LACROSSE
• FOREST PARK 15, GAR-FIELD 4: Brian Padgett, Tyler Jones, Orie Davis and freshman David Gray each scored twice as the Bruins improved to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in Cardinal District play. Padgett also added an assist.
Gray's goals were the first of his varsity career.
For the Indians, Michael Beck recorded 22 saves in goal.
• POTOMAC 10, HYLTON 9: Andrew Zelms had two goals, Jason Will has four goals and an assist, Colin Mohnacs, T.J. Kennedy and Charlie Braswell each had one goal, Zide Baser had two goals and Jason Currister had two assists.
Austin Thomas was in goal for Potomac (3-6, 3-3) had 10 saves.
