Jameson Hill, a senior at Seton and a member of the Quantico Devil Dolphins, is getting to see the world courtesy of his swimming talents.

Hill competed Tuesday and Wednesday at the Stockholm World Cup in Sweden as a member of the USA Junior National Team.

Competing against the world's best swimmers, including Michael Phelps, Hill finished 48th in the 100 fly (57.51), 45th in the 200 free (1:49.70), 62nd in the 50 free (23.59), 63rd in the 100 free (50.63) and 22nd in the 400 free (3:52.46).

After leaving Stockholm, Hill will compete today and Saturday in Berlin before arriving back home on Monday.

"It's a great experience for him," said Hill's QDD coach, Rick Benner. "To be posting those times this time of the year, which is early for us, is impressive."

Hill has committed to the University of Georgia. Benner said Hill will sign his national letter of intent when he gets back Monday.

The early signing period concludes Wednesday, Nov. 18.

The News & Messenger's Male Swimmer of the Year last season, Hill broke the Virginia Section of Independent Schools' state records in both the 200-yard (by nearly two seconds) and 500-yard freestyle (by nearly five seconds).

He also won Delaney Athletic Conference most valuable swimmer honors while netting four conference titles.
