Monday's prep sports postponements

Update on the high school athletic events:

In wrestling, the Cardinal District meet, scheduled for Monday at Gar-Field at 4 p.m, has been cancelled. The top four individuals based on seeding advance to regionals, which are Friday and Saturday at Colonial Forge.

The Cedar Run Wrestling meet has also been cancelled. The top four individuals based on seeding go to regionals.

The Gar-Field-Osbourn Park boys and girls basketball games, scheduled for Monday, have been postponed to Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Gar-Field plays at Osbourn Park in boys, while Gar-Field hosts Osbourn Park in girls.

The Cardinal District track meet, scheduled for Monday, has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 13 at Potomac, starting at 10 a.m. If the meet is unable to go that day, the top six individuals based on seeding and top three relays based on seeding will advance to regionals, which are Thursday, Feb. 18.
