The News & Messenger was honored in three categories during the Associated Press Sports Editors national judging contest this week in Orlando, Fla.
The paper was named one of the top 10 Sunday sports sections in the under 20,000 circulation category, while its high school football preview section was named one of the nation's top 10 special sections in both the under 40,000 and under 20,000 circulation categories.
