Former Battlefield standout running back Nagee Jackson has committed to Division I-AA Delaware State for football.
Jackson also had an offer from Morgan State.
Jackson spent the fall of 2011 at Fork Union Military Academy after graduating from Battlefield in June to gain more exposure from colleges and also raise his SAT score. He played on FUMA’s post-graduate team.
As a senior on the Bobcats’ 2010 Division 6 state championship team, Jackson was all-Cedar Run District and all-Northwest Region after rushing for 1,134 yards and finishing as the area’s second-leading scorer with 138 points.
“I liked the school and it has my major,” said Jackson, who plans to major in business and minor in sports management. “They are building something up there and I wanted to be a part of that program.”
Jackson was recruited as a running back. National signing day for football is this Wednesday.
